I have always had a real passion for politics; my parents met during a march on D.C. Unlike my parents, my values and core beliefs drew me to become a conservative and member of the Republican Party at age 16. Having lived in Milwaukee, I have a first-hand account of the true mess politicians have made of our economy, on both sides of the aisle. With this background I looked upon the upcoming governor’s race with a certain degree of reservation. However, early on in the primary season I attended an event at UWM to hear Karl Rove speak and heard Mark Neumann, who introduced him. There was something about Mark that sparked my interest, so I learned what I could about his campaign and was relieved to find that a true fiscal conservative in favor of my second amendment rights actually existed! I feel that the zeal and passion that Mark has for lifting up Wisconsin’s economy, making us globally competitive and actually responding to the wishes and concerns of the average citizen make his campaign unique. That’s why I felt the duty to get involved. Mark is at the forefront of a conservative resurgence in the political arena, one that is long overdue and will be welcomed with open arms.
