I would like to commend Columbia Grinding, located in Oak Creek, WI for implementing energy saving technology that saves them money ($33,000/year estimated) while at the same time helping the environment. Many companies have an opportunity with the current incentives from WE Energies, Focus on Energy, and the Federal tax credits to make substantial investments in energy saving and energy producing technologies to help their businesses in these tough economic times.
What a great way to jumpstart our economy by creating and promoting new jobs in green technology. These are the right solutions to solve the environmental problems rather than the "cap and trade" or "cap and tax" system being proposed in Congress right now. How about we allow WI private sector businesses to come up with ideas like Columbia Grinding to not only save money by reducing energy consumption, but also creating jobs through investment in green technology, AND helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions from buildings! Let's start empowering and encouraging the private sector rather than mandating change from political offices.
